BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST

Mai is an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Consultant and is listed in the RASP list Category A Behaviour Consultant. She is also the Assistant Director of Operations of Symbiosis Pediatric Therapy clinics. Mai is responsible for providing management, leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of daily operations for the clinics.

Mai completed her Masters of Professional Education – ABA from University of Western Ontario after completing her Bachelor of Science from University of British Columbia in 2010. She has been in the field for the past 13 years starting her career as a junior Behavior therapist.

Mai has a vast experience providing and developing Behavior programs and working collaboratively with a team (Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist etc.) to implement programs. She provides behavior consultation to children diagnosed with ASD and other developmental disabilities, supervising Behavior Interventionists. Her responsibilities include ensuring clinical effectiveness of Early Intervention program through training the staff, conducting assessment, creating Behavior plan of interventions, providing parent training through teaching of ABA and EDSM techniques to ensure generalization process to continue at home.

Mai is well versed with programs like Zones of Regulation®, Mind up®, and Growth Mindset. She is experienced in implementing interventions such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (Principles of Reinforcement, Discreet Trial Training, Task Analysis, Natural Environment Teaching, Incidental Teaching and Pivotal Response Training).

Mai provides Behavior Consultancy to families in Burnaby, Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Delta BC.
