SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT
Simran completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (major) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in June 2020. Her experience includes working as a Behavioral Interventionist with children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum disorder since 2016. She has training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) including implementing goals connected to an Individualized Behavioural Plan of Intervention. She also has experience in providing private Respite Care to families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is passionate about giving back to her community and have been volunteering at BC Children’s Hospital as a Fun Cart and Sibling Support worker.
Simran acknowledges the importance of family-centered practice while working with children, families, and the community. She values the significance of inclusive practice as it allows a community to develop together and create opportunities for each individual to become a valuable member of society.
